Why is medication review important?

Medication reviews increase the effectiveness of the medication. It is very important to know how to take your medication to help prevent unwanted reactions. A lot of things in our daily routine, for example diet, weight, stress, emotional conditions, etc., interact with our medications. A pharmacist will help improve patient’s understanding of their medication to avoid unwanted effects of the medication – especially when they are on so many medications. The safety and effectiveness of your medication is our priority.

As a pharmacist, we will make schedules; when to take the medication, what time is the best for the medication, either take with food or without food.

You are eligible:

• If you are a Alberta resident with a valid Alberta Health Card.
• If you have at least two chronic medical conditions.
• You are eligible if, for example, you a patient of high blood pressure and a smoker too.
